Quality Ratings

Sometimes referred to as “star ratings”. Ratings of health plan quality used in the Health Insurance Marketplace, shown as 1 to 5 stars on plan information pages. Each health plan has an “Overall” quality rating, which is based on scores for 3 elements: member experience, medical care, and plan administration. The plans provided information to the Marketplace in 2017. The Marketplace confirmed the data and assigned the ratings. In some cases — like when plans are new or have low enrollment — ratings aren’t available.
